Provision of Clean Drinking Water
Access to clean water is a significant problem in many communities despite being close to the Nile River. School going children and nursing mothers have to spend hours each day fetching water from the river and wells that are open to disease. Further, this also limits the time the children can spend at school.
There is significant value to the community in providing communities access to clean water.

Our goal is to help local initiative to have access to clean drinking water. LDI has sponsored a number of water projects, providing clean water to many families in the project area. The health impacts are immediate. Also, the impacts on the social network are on going and positive.
