"Remember that someday the HIV/AIDS crisis
will be over, and when that day has come and gone those who will be
alive, will hear that once there was a terrible disease and that a
brave group of people stood up ,fought and in some cases some died so
that others may live and be free"

HEALTH SUPPORT, RESOURCES, COUNSELING AND TRAINING
The health program will focus on entire families, including income earners and elderly dependents. It will encompass both traditional and emerging health concerns of the family. The health issues of working-age populations affect family life and economic viability.
Better health outcomes will require better management of chronic diseases, from prevention through treatment. To provide better outcomes it is necessary for the Health Program to develop working relationships with other health institutions and organizations in the home communities of the clients.
Referrals will be made to the person who will cater to our clients to ensure the client gets the appropriate service. Knowing the category of clients that LDI serves, there will be a need to build trust if the linkage system is to be effective.
In Uganda, the government has established a dispensary in every village, a Health Centre in each parish, a parish has around 10, 000 people living in it. There is also at least one hospital in every district. LDI believes that there is an adequate health care system in the country and would avoid spreading their resources too thin, by establishing parallel systems. Collaborating with health facilities in the areas of LDI operation will be essential.
LDI shall run a lean staffed Clinic as the first stop for the clients before referral. LDI shall deal with the dispensing of the HAART and other complicated drugs for the clients. In most of the cases, the services will be subsidized, but not necessarily free. This capacity to meet the costs will be assessed by a triage nurse before services, so that no client will ever be denied services just because they can not afford it.
